Hello Miss and classmates!
Well, the year is finishing, and our experience in the subject of English too :(
Really, the English for me is so difficult, because I feel that it isn't a language for me, but I think that with this subject in the University we can practice our vocabulary, and our ear to understand this language.
I think that the subject, obviously, can be better, but the introduction of the blog and the topics about we write are very interesting and help to our education.
In my case, I need improve my vocabulary and the nerves when I must to speak in English, I think that those nerves is because I don't feel sure abut my knowledge about the language, and I think I'll overcome abut this never! haha, no, really with the experience in the language and the practice.
Outside the English class, I use a lot of English listening to music mainly British and American rock, reggae also Central American, which are almost always sung in English. I also see about five U.S. series so when I see them try captioned associate words with audio.
Anyway, I think it's very important to know English because it is necessary for further studies and also for day to day, considering that many of the texts we have read in undergraduate are in English, as most of the papers are written in this language, which is considered universal.
It was a great experience to have English in college, I started in high school and continued in anthropology, meeting teachers in their own style encouraged me to learn more of this language, which in principle do not like a lot and I have difficulty to me.
Well, I hope you are well, we all pass the course and then finish the studies. A lot of strength and support for the girls of  Educa and that the fight continue!

The necessary dirty money

Hello!
Today I'm going to talk to you about a topic that I hate, the money!
Money corrupts people, makes them out of their basic principles and enmity. however, the world has imposed a system in which the person has no money, can not live in it. I wish I could live in a world without money, where the products were extracted from the nonprofit land, but no, we are in a world where employers have exorbitant profits and we must pay it, almost without question.
Many people in my life I have questioned my hatred for the money, because they think I'm very idealistic, I believe that the money, if it is necessary, but do not give their life for it, because the money used to live, not live for the money. In my case, I everything I buy, I buy in the cheapest places, mine is Chinese clothing, second hand hopefully, vegetables, buy them at the show when I can, always trying to save, and I get by my parents and I have won scholarships in college and other organisms.
If I were a millionaire, it will be impossible, I would do charity and non-profit-making organism, dedicated to children, indigenous, peasants, etc.. the most marginalized by society, because I feel this is a very inhospitable world for many of them and they need a place to host them and report on their status in society
On the other hand, if I need to pawn something in my life I have today, would the computer, although it is too important to my college life, but it is the only possession I have today.
OK! Bye before I get angry more!

A Santiago Times article about the mapuche's hunger strike

The anthropology studies all about the culture of the groups, and all phenomena that affect the groups, and obviously the society is a agent of change and mobility in the social groups.
In the case of Mapuche, the role of Anthropology in Chile is very important, this discipline could be show factors that influence in the public opinion the information management in the mass media.
Therefore, I chose an article of 2010: “Chile’s lesser told story: the mapuche hunger strike”, this paper describes how the media has covered only the rescue of the thirty-three miners from the San José’s mine, ignoring the hunger strike that the Mapuche conducted in the same amount of time, the article describes too the process that led to reach the Mapuche hunger strike.
From the Anthropology can study why the mass media only pay attention to rescue of the miners, from a cultural perspective. Considering the influence from the State in the Chilean mass media and the low public approval for President of citizenship, doing a great paraphernalia, extolling the figure of the President and some of his ministers, as a great leader in saving miners, putting aside every day of hunger strike of the Mapuche, who believe they have received an unfair trial and deafness by government.
Well, this subject is for a big investigation. good weekend!

My best Holidays in Las Cruces

Hi Misses, today I'm goint to talk to you about my best holidays
It was in the year 2008, when I was in 4th of secondary, and we had our school trip, we went to Las Cruces a small town in the 5th region of Chile. From there we traveled to El Tabo, Isla Negra, El Quisco, San Antonio and others towns, but the important are not the places, but the people, because I went with my best friends from the school, moreover it was our last trip like a year, and we had a great time!
But, in that travel I had my best experience with a person in my life, I knew Nicanor Parra there, my favorite (anti)poet, I knew him with two friend and a teacher, and really he was very friendly with us, but we were could not take a photo him, because he feels that the photos take out some of his soul, but this experience with him was really legendary.
Moreover we went to Pablo Nerudas’s house in Isla Negra, where is the Neruda’s tomb with his wife. This house is really amazing; it’s full of different things! Shells, mermaids of the boats, bottles, etc.!
Happy weekend! :D

Hello!

Today I'm going to talk to you about my future job, since the childhood our around starts to question us about our future, our aspirations and objectives for the life. When we are in the adolescence this question is stronger than before, because the society, in Chile, asks for us one decision when the secondary is over.

When I take the decision of come in the university I knew that this decision could be my future, so I tried to take this decision with seriousness. I knew that I would want work with persons and try to help them with my job, even if it were a little bit.

I pretend have a job with social vocation, from he Anthropology I feel that it can be, because its a discipline with social contact, it can inform to the society of the realities of different social groups, that the society doesn't know, finding help from the State or other social actors.

For get to this purpose I should find a kind of job where I could make this, so the characteristics of my job have to be with social compromise, a non-profit-making organism, with job in places with poor persons, indigenous, country persons, and so on.

My strengths are my perseverance and honesty with the thing I want to do, moreover my social vocation, my empathy with the others and tolerance. My weaknesses are my strong character and my extreme sincerity that  upset to many people, so sorry for that.

I really hope in a couple of years can make my dreams in a job, but I'll work to live, but no live to work.

Bye, and good luck with the end of the semester!!

Our ecological conscience

Hi!
Today I'm going to talk to you about an interesting theme to me, the environment and its careful. I learnt environmentally friendly practices especially in my house, with my family or like an autodidactic, because the I obtained the ecological conscience when I was a girl with the plant we had in the house, like medicinal herbs,  vegetables, trees, flowers and bushes.
In my daily life, I make something about the recycling like make ecological bricks (eco-bricks), separate the organic trash with the objective of make compost and give back to the origin and re-use. Other thing I do is recycling clothes, buying in fairs, american clothes, and give or sell my clothes that I don't use. The paper and the cardboard, I give to the carton collector, so we can help a family too.
My favourite transport is the bike, I really love ride my bike, and if I don't have it close I prefer walk, because, specially in Santiago, the public transport and the streets are crammed full.
In this moment I'm not a member of an eco-organization, because I don't have time for other activities apart from the university, my family, travels and my mental health, haha, but I really would like be a member of organization like "Huerto Urbano" or "Huerto Regalentún" of the University.
My footprint I think is not many big, quite the opposite, because I use my foots and legs to transport myself, I use the electric energy mainly and I really everyday try to care my environment.
Santiago is a dirty city, because lack ecological culture, the careful about our environment, I think that when the garbage will be on our shoulders, the persons will take conscience.

House made with eco-briks :)

Hi misses!
Today I'm going to talk to you about the political elections, that controversial topic...
Somebody thinks that we can't talk about politics and religion, but it is always necessary some reflection about this... When I was 18 years old in 2009, I registered myself in the electoral service, because I thought that I could make changes about the system being in the system, but, obviously, I was disappointed by this, because the electoral campaigns and the politicians are very corrupted, liars and populists. Moreover, in electoral campaigns period exists a noise and visual pollution with faces that aren't interesting for me, and the dirtiness isn't cleaned by the candidates.
About the profile of the candidate, it should be an honest and reliable person, but everyone can look like this. If a politician tries to be a person that listens to the social problems and is capable of presenting that social problem for a solution, I think he is doing his work.
On the other hand, I thought in some moment to be a politician, but the politicians are very discredited, and it is a dirty world of interests, I think that if I was a politician, I would help in social problems, not politician's problems.
I vote in Talca, and the electoral campaign is based on promises about abstract things, "no more fumes", "vote in style", "a mayor for Talca", of real proposal to solve the problems about the housing, public health, public education, cleanliness of the city, the reconstruction after the earthquake, there is nothing about this, the candidates should get worried about real problems, not ideas in their heads.
Campaign of football fans against the political campaign because with the law "Estadio Seguro" they can't come in the stadium with cloth in support of their Football clubs.

My best friend for ever and ever! :D

Hello girls!

I'm going to talk to you about my best friend, he is a very nice man and I really love him!
I met him in the school 6 years ago, in the year 2006, in the city of Talca, his name is Cristopher, but I say him Topheyn, Cris, Topher, and many derivations of his name. Since we met, we have all the trust and company that two friends can give to each other. I think that we are the best friends up to now is thanks to our personality, both of us have a strong personality, so we always say the truth, and solve our problems quickly.
In the 2009, I moved to Santiago and he moved to Buenos Aires in 2010 (he came back last year), however, we always keep in touch, we always meet in Talca the weekends.
The best memory I have of him is that each party I don't go, he call me to say "why aren't you in the party, bitch?!", he can't live without me, haha, and other moments like the study trip in 2008, him vocational problems, our familiar problems, all the news friends we met together, and so on... We understand us because both of us are completely nuts :)
I hope we always are friends and love and respect us.
Good weekend! :)

The wonderful Culture of Holland

Hello! I am going to talk you about a country I hope to visit someday in my life, this is Holland, the principal reason of visiting it is its culture, a country where the problems of delinquency, drugs and tolerance are resolved and the transport is so romantic with bicycles and motorboat, I really think I would love to live there!

But the language is so hard, I have problems with the English, I can't imagine with the Dutch! (hahaha), but if I could go to Holland, I'll really try very hard!
On the other hand, this country has a rich culture with archaeology sites, the contemporary dance born in this country, the young people is drove to read literature with big book collections in public libraries, and about the television and mass media, those have freedom of  press and independence of the State and Government,  so the public opinion of the citizens are more autonomous without taboo subjects.
So, If I have the possibility of go to Holland, I do it with close eyes! :)
Good weekend and happy Chilean national days!

The best videos of the world!

Hello!
I’m going to talk you about my two favorite videos.
The first is a video that when I watch for first time I laughed for hours, and I replay it like ten times. Is the history of a murderer that wants kill a person with the most unusual weapon, a spoon! The name of the video isn’t the most original of the world, but it summarize completely: “The horribly slow murderer with the extremely inefficient weapon” is a large video with a large name, but it deserves the ten minutes of the life of everyone. This video is one of my favorite videos because I love the absurd and ridiculous humor.
I found the video when I was chat with a friend from Talca, Gonzalo, and we usually share videos between us, and he recommended me the video, and I think I have watched the video many times since 2009, and show it to other persons and I went mad with it. Moreover, I recommend you, if the video liked you, the other videos of Richard Gale, the author, which are funny too.

The horribly slow murderer with the extremely inefficient weapon

The other video I want share you is a part of an episode of a caricatures of the Cartoon Network Channel, Adventure Time, it’s of eight seconds, but summarized the funny and stupid of the caricature, that I love. I found the video in youtube after watch the episode.

Adventure Time - Jake farts in Finn's pocket

I hope like you the videos, and my simple and absurd humor :)

Hello everybody!

I’ll talk about my frustrated dreams :(
I always want make everything I see, dance, sing, play instruments, learn different theories of many disciplines, but I must accept that I never can make all I like.
When I was a little children I wanted learn dance, I think I always love dance and move my body. The first I learn to dance is Cueca, the national dance of Chile, my parents encourage it, but I learn after flamenco (it's my favorite), tango, salsa, Rapa Nui dance, Andean dances, meringue, rumba, cha-cha, belly dance, tribal dance (Arabic dance and fusions) and many different dances of Latin-American. But I would like to learn Irish dance, it so difficulty and I don’t have time for it :(, yes it's a rare dance, but is a challenge to me.

The music instruments always had been a break dream, I wanted play the guitar, but I left because I didn’t have time to it for the dances groups which I participated, but I learned play the tambourine, haha! I really would like to learn play the drums and the guitar, and to sing well.
Moreover, I would like learn other disciplines like history, psychology, cinema, arts, medicine, but my really frustrated dreams is study the profession of photographer and dancer.
The language I’d like to learn, firstly is English, it’s very difficult to me, but I effort to.  But I’d learn Italian because I think is a beautiful language, and French, and Germany, haha, but I really would like to live in Holland, but I think is very difficult and rare language, but if I have the  opportunity to learn I’ll do it.

Yes, I’m feeling really sad now u.u

Have a great day! :D

Hi!!
Today I’ll talk about why I’m studying Anthropology! :)
When I was a child I thought that my profession will be the Medicine, and I thought about this until I finished the school in the year 2008. But when I did the PSU test I wasn’t selected in Medicine career in the University of Chile, then I started the “bachillerato” in natural science, but in middle of this year (2009) I change the mention to social science, in which I knew the Anthropology like a science, because before I really had no idea about this.
I think the Anthropology like a way to change the world, in Chile is an unknown discipline for the majority of the population, but the anthropology can make very important changes in the public policy, or other important topics, like in other countries, and this is my motivation to study this career, have the hope of the society considers its own culture like the motor to the development of its needs.
My favorite subject of the anthropology is the intervention in different context, like rural, urban or native areas to improve through public policy and others independent ways.
My favorite teacher of this University is Roelf Foerster because is a good anthropologist that investigate the native culture of Chile, specially of Mapuche culture, with an interesting new structuralist theorist focus.

Be happy!! :D

Hi little classmates!

Today I have the pleasure of write about my favorite band: Queen. This band is the best to me because they mix several styles of rock like progressive rock, glam rock, hard rock, pop rock, heavy metal, blues rock and psychedelic rock and other styles like the opera, folk, and so on. The band consists of Freddie Mercury (vocalist and piano), Brian May (guitar), John Deacon (bass guitar) and Roger Taylor (drums).

This band was formed in the year of 1971 in London after several other groups that they formed; I think it’s a masterpiece. I like this band because their lyrics are beautiful and can remember you little moments that marked your life, lyrics of love and indifference, sex and recklessness. On the other hand I really love Freddie Mercury, the vocalist, who admitted that he was gay and died for cause of the AIDS in November of 1991.
My favorite song is “Tie your mother down”, it transfer me many energy and make me crazy shouting and jumping, I really feel the need of hit my mother-in-law! hahaha. I gift you the video :)

I hope that you like my band too!

Hi everybody!
I hope that you’re OK. Today I write about a photograph that I like it. First, I love took pictures for the future and remember about those moments. The pictures can transmit many feelings.
The picture that I chose now was token in Vilches Alto, a place in the foothills of The Andes, in a splendid nature that I love.

I this picture I appear in a place known like “Los Pozones”, because is in the torrent of the Maule’s River making cascades and deep pools. My boyfriend took the picture in January of 2011 in a journey with my family (parents, sister and grandmother). This day we went there everybody, going up and going down through gullies. Yes, it isn’t a place easy to arrive, but its beauty worth. I remember I was the first in arrive this place that morning, and my family with my boyfriend were help my grandmother go down with so much difficulty, jaja.
I like this picture because I appear like a little person in the vast nature, in a wonderful landscape, and the moment I remember with happiness and the nostalgia of came back to Vilches Alto and those moments.

My first computer i had in 2005, but I never used it a lot, when I started University in the year of 2009 my father bought me a personal computer because I couldn’t come to Santiago with a big computer from Talca. And in 2011 I bought my netbook because travel again and again with a notebook that weighs like five kilograms on the back makes me have lumbago :(

And the other piece of tecnology that I love is the professional camera, the pictures that it takes are wonderful, it’s because my frustrated dream is to be a photographer, I would like have one someday, but it so expensive to me :( , but we live in hope :)

A Place: Vichuquén Lake

I think that I never was happiest than I travel to Vichuquén Lake, I went with my boyfriend, Sebastián, like a way of escaping from world. I love travel into Maule's Region, it's wonderful to me.

In this lake there are tranquility and a beautiful landscape. this lake is the shape of a snake, and from it its name, that means "Lake's Snake", from Mapuche's words Vilu that means "snake" and Lafquén that means "lake". The lake has 40 km2 of extension.

This tarvel was in September of 2010, but I cannot forget it, it was funny and very intimate in which I did can meet my boyfriend a lot.

The place is in the interior of Maule's Region, close to Curicó, Vichuquén, Llico and Aquelarre, a mystic town, protagonist of an old Chilean television series. Between trees and crystalline water, this place turns magical, the silence and echo remember my rural's roots, in which the people is charming and all you need, they gives you with a smile in the face.

In the lake there are jet skies, boats and tourist's guides which we can know the history and legends of the place.

Here I did tracking sports, bike rides, picnics, and so on.

I would return again every time that I could it, Vichuquén Lake is a mysterious and fabulous place, that charms everyone that go to its waters and soils.

In conclusion this is LEGEN... wait for it... DARY!!!
